Bloomingdale Psychological Services provides psychological testing and assessment for children and adults. We offer a comprehensive assortment of assessment batteries that address cognitive functioning, neuropsychological functioning, career development, and personality traits. Our testing includes:

Intelligence testing (IQ test)—this test measures your specific abilities, strengths, and weaknesses in the areas of memory, attention, and visual-motor integration. It can be helpful in determining your aptitude for various subjects.

Achievement testing—this test measures your developed skill or knowledge in a specific area and can help determine what level of schooling is appropriate.

Personality testing—this test measures personality traits and can help in assessing career and relationship issues.

We offer testing for children to determine the appropriateness of gifted classes, when they change schools, or simply to assess their strengths and weaknesses. Sometimes, the school system will even provide testing free of charge. Testing can also guide treatment planning and goal setting for therapy, provide recommendations for educational services and psychotropic medications, promote the development of career goals, and assist with anger management difficulties. You will be provided with a detailed report of the test data, an interpretation of the results, and a summary of recommendations. We will discuss all these components in detail at our first meeting.
