When life’s challenges become difficult, it can sometimes feel like you are all alone in the world. Part of the recovery process is understanding that there are other people who experience similar problems. Support groups offer a safe place to gain this insight, providing an encouraging environment to talk about problems and challenges in a setting with other people who are experiencing the same kinds of issues. Support groups offer an opportunity to share personal experiences and listen to and sympathize with others as they share their own personal struggles. Being in a group can be challenging, but the feedback and encouragement it provides is difficult to duplicate or achieve in any other setting. | |
