This weekly support group is for adults who are coping with weight-related issues. It focuses on aspects of weight management, nutrition, and exercise, and it identifies and explores the connection between emotions and overeating. Topics that we discuss include emotional overeating, stress and obesity, heredity, body image, behavioral factors in weight management, and lifestyle changes. We also teach healthy meal preparation, low-fat and low-carbohydrate dieting, healthy snacking, and cooking with creative recipes. | |
